The 2016 RACV Great Victorian Bike Ride

The RACV Great Victorian Bike Ride is fast approaching and looks set to be an exciting adventure full of inspiring views and memorable experiences! Riders will be tackling the Grampians and then heading south to the iconic 12 Apostles. Watch the sunrise over these stunning rock formation before making your way through some of Victoria’s oldest rainforest to reach Apollo Bay. Perhaps you can run straight in the ocean for a relaxing swim to revive your tired muscles!

The organisers have graciously allocated an extra day of rest to explore this nature’s paradise. Unwind by heading to the beach, taking some leisurely strolls along the marina or exploring the surrounding waterfalls.  Or keep it low key and hit the shops before indulging in the great food, coffee and wine that Apollo Bay has to offer. The Tastes of the Region is a great place to sample the fantastic produce the Otway region. Camp overnight before heading through to Lorne (on a closed  to traffic Great Ocean Road) followed by Queenscliff before crossing the finish in Geelong.

This amazing bike journey has developed over many years and now includes its own entourage of food trucks, craft beer and even a moonlight cinema! There are 3 ride options available, a 3, 5 or 9 day trek (the entire route is 527kms). The adventure begins on Saturday 26th November, arrives in 12 Apostles on Tuesday 29th November and Apollo Bay from Wednesday 30th November through to Friday morning.
